Basel, Universitätsbibliothek, B I 2, f. 33r – Biblia Sacra, quarta pars

Fourth volume of a Latin Bible originally in four parts that was made in Basel between 1435 and 1445. Illustrated by an anonymous artist, the volumes were written by Heinrich von Vullenhoe, one of the most important calligraphers of the Carthusian Monastery of Basel. The biblical books follow the order specified in the liturgy. Also included in this group are codices B I 1 and B I 3.
Deutsch: Vierter Band einer ursprünglich vierteiligen lateinischen Bibel, die in den Jahren 1435-1445 in Basel entstand. Geschrieben wurden die anonym illustrierten Bände von Heinrich von Vullenhoe, einem der bedeutendsten Kalligrafen der Basler Kartause. Die Ordnung der biblischen Bücher folgt den Vorgaben der Liturgie. Zur Gruppe gehören ausserdem B I 1 und B I 3.
Français : Quatrième volume d’une bible latine composée à l’origine de quatre volumes et réalisée dans les années 1435-1445 à Bâle. Illustrés par un artiste anonyme, l’ensemble de ces volumes ont été transcrits par Heinrich von Vullenhoe, l’un des plus célèbres calligraphes de la chartreuse de Bâle. L’ordonnance des livres bibliques suit les prescriptions de la liturgie. B I 1 et B I 3 font aussi partie de ce groupe.
Italiano: Quarto tomo di una bibbia latina composta in origine di quattro volumi, confezionata negli anni 1435-1445 a Basilea. Illustrata da un artista anonimo, fu trascritta da Heinrich von Vullenhoe, uno dei più importanti calligrafi della certosa di Basilea. L'ordine dei libri liturgici segue le prescrizioni della liturgia. Al gruppo appartengono anche i codici B I 1 e B I 3.
