Beartooth Highway, Beartooth Lake Bridge, Spanning Beartooth Lake outlet on U.S. Highway 212, Cody, Park County, WY
Summary
Significance: Constructed as part of the original completion of the Beartooth Highway's "Section B", the bridge is significant as a contributing feature of the historic roadway due to 1) the low approach and design which enhances the site of the crossing; 2) the use of hand-cut local stone for abutments and piers; and 3) the design's adherence to the National Park Service design standards of the 1930s and the inclusion of landscape designers in the bridge's development.
