Bertholf approaches Kodiak Island
Summary
KODIAK, Alaska - The Coast Guard Cutter Bertholf, a 418-foot national security cutter homeported in Alameda, Calif., approaches Kodiak Island April 14, 2011, to begin preparations for a two-month patrol in Alaskan waters supporting District 17 with fishery boardings and search and rescue operations. The Bertholf crew will attend the North Pacific Regional Fisheries Training Center to learn about federal fishing regulations before they begin their patrol.
