Bill Mancke, a World War II Marine Corps veteran, stands in front of the U.S. Marine Corps Forces, Pacific, headquarters building at Camp H.M. Smith, Hawaii, Feb. 2, 2016. Mancke was hospitalized in the building, formerly known as Aiea Heights Naval Hospital, in 1944 after being wounded at the Battle of Kwajalein.
