Black History Month, US Marine Corps Photo
Summary
February marks the annual celebration of African American heritage and their victories! Gilda Jackson was the first African American woman to reach the rank of Colonel. She then became the first female to command Naval Aviation Depot, Cherry point. Her success helped pave a path for all Marines to follow.
