"Black Mountain," 2665 feet above sea level, highest point on Lake George, N. Y.

Black Mt. is on the eastern shore of Lake George, 15 miles from the head of the lake and is the highest point on the lake, being 2665 ft. above sea level and 2319 ft. above the lake. A fine trail leads from Black Mt. Pt. to the summit on which is located a fire warden's camp and observation tower.
