Summary

Title change: The title appears on the transcription as "Unnamed."
Meter: 4/4
Transcribed by Alan Jabbour, from a performance by Henry Reed.
Compass: 12
Key: G
Strains: 2 (low-high, 4-4)
Rendition: 1r-2r-[different tune]
Phrase Structure: ABAC QRQS (abcd abef qrst qruf)
Related Tune(s): [Quince Dillion's High-D Reel]
Handwritten: 1st str. not recorded 1st time thru. On 2nd time thru 2nd str. he got off onto another tune.
Henry Reed played this tune twice but had no name for it. (A more complete version was recorded on November 26, 1966, as AFS 13037a01.) He seemed to have a little trouble sorting out its melodic features from those of some similar tunes in G, conflating it in both performances with melodies he had previously played. A related tune in his repertory, cast in the key of D, has the same first strain but an entirely different second strain; see "Quince Dillion's High-D Reel."
