Brig. Gen. Roger Turner, center, commanding general of Task Force Southwest, met with the Provincial governor and key leaders from Afghan National Defense and Security Forces at Bost Airfield, Afghanistan, May 8th, 2017. They discussed the importance of communicating accurate and timely information to keep the public properly informed of the security situation in Helmand. Task Force Southwest, comprised of approximately 300 Marines from II Marine Expeditionary Force, are training, advising and assisting the Afghan National Army 215th Corps and the 505th Zone National Police.
