Brisbois Warehouse, Prairie du Chien, Crawford County, WI
Summary
Significance: Erected about 1852 for B.W. Brisbois, this building was used as a fur-trading warehouse, but not exclusively so. Random ashlar sides, coursed ashlar front, rectangular plan, two stories, gable roof with deep boxed cornice, three-bay front end with early, large, shop-type windows on ground floor. Similar to Lisa Warehouse, Wharf and Chestnut Streets, St. Louis, Missouri.
