Summary

Candidates execute a 12 mile ruck during the U.S. Army Europe Expert Field Medical Badge (EFMB) at Rhine Ordnance Barracks, Germany Sep. 23, 2020. Candidates were tested both physically and mentally as they attempt to earn the EFMB. One hundred and thirty soldiers from throughout Europe attempted to earn one of the most difficult and prestigious Army special skill badges which has a fiscal passing rate below 20%.
In order to mitigate the spread of Covid-19, while training and testing to standard, competitors were required to have a negative Covid-19 test prior to reporting and outside contact has been limited, mannequins are being used when possible, and all equipment is being cleaned between candidates for the duration of the training.
