Eric Gardner, commanding officer of Naval Air Facility Atsugi, and Masato Yamada, vice mayor of Yokohama, plant a cherry blossom tree during a tree planting ceremony at Naval Support Facility Kamiseya as part of the Seya Festival commemorating the upcoming 100th anniversary of Japan's gift of friendship. The nearly 3,000 cherry blossom trees along the Potomac River in Washington, D.C. were given to the U.S. by Japan in 1912.
