The most important results of the last Conferencewere the organization of a state anti-tuberculosis soci-ety and the appointment of a committee to devise planswhereby all institutions in Virginia, educational, reli-gious, and business, could unite in a campaign for theeducation of all the colored people in Virginia. MISSIONARY TRAINING—READING TO THE AGED HAMPTON NEGRO CONFERENCE part of the 1910 conference. Such reports are valua-ble, not only in the information which they give, butalso in the suggestion of methods of work to be clonein other states. The committee on religion and morals are pre-paring information on the place and power of the relig-ious press. This is a reading age, and it is importantthat the religious papers of the colored race shall attainto a high standard. The Virginia Board of Charities and Correctionwill send a representative to tell the conference someof the ways in which colored people can help the statein caring for the poor, the unfortunate,and the criminal. The subject of most general interest to be discussedis that of the home. The plan is to have a symposiumin which the home will be considered from variouspoints of view.
