CEDAR PARK, Texas – (March 20, 2017) Bryan Christian, band director of Vista Ridge High School, observes as Sailors of Navy Band Southwest from San Diego conducted a clinic with band students at the school during Navy Week Austin. The band consists of thoroughly trained professional musicians dedicated to the highest levels of musical performance. Excelling in versatility through performances at various venues, the band inspires pride and patriotism through music. Texas’ capital is hosting members of the U.S. Navy during Austin Navy Week, March 18-24, coinciding with Rodeo Austin and Stock Show. Austin Navy Week is the 2nd of 15 Navy Weeks in 2017 which focus a variety of assets, equipment, and personnel on a single city for a weeklong series of engagements designed to bring America's Navy closer to the people it protects.
