Cedar waxwing (Bombycilla cedrorum), Fort Stanwix National Monument, 2015.
Summary
True to their name, waxwings have conspicuous red wax-like droplets on tips of their secondary flight feathers. Distinguish this cedar waxwing from the similar Bohemian waxwing by its smaller size, more brown-ish coloration and yellow-ish underbelly.
