NPS Collection photo: President Franklin Delano Roosevelt visited Hot Springs National Park on 10 June 1936 as part of the Arkansas centennial celebration. Here's a photo from our archives showing the President (left, in back seat), accompanied by Arkansas Governor J. M. Futrell (center) and Arkansas Senator Joseph T. Robinson (right). Their tour guide was former park Superintendent Thomas J. Allen (riding in the jump seat in front of them).
