DRAGUIGNAN, France (May. 29, 2010) Ceremonial color guards from Naval Support Activities Rota, Spain, and French marines from the 3rd Marine Artillery Regiment, Canjuers, present colors at the Rhone American National Cemetery during a Memorial Day ceremony. During the ceremony, Adm. Samuel J. Locklear III, commander of U.S. Naval Forces Europe-Africa, laid a wreath and gave a speech to honor the 861 Americans, most of whom lost their lives in the liberation of southern France in August 1944 and are buried at the cemetery.
