The map in mural form over the reception desk is used by the guard in explaining the location and the signigicance of the Tennessee Valley Authority Project. The switchyard can be seen through the glazed doors of the vestibule; on the opposite side, the entire wall under the dedication (1936-Built for the People of the United States of America-1940) is glass and opens a view of the generator hall to the visitors
