Summary
Throughout the year, adults are gray below with an orangish-rush color above. Adults in breeding plumage (like the one pictured) have a persimmon-red cap, a white supercilium and a black trans-ocular line. Adults in nonbreeding plumage have a less prominent brownish cap, dusky eyebrow and a dark eye-line.
