Arthur Henri Poole - Church Organ somewhere or other?

description

Summary

A fine church organ in a beautifully decorated church somewhere from the Poole Collection for today! While the carved wooden panels on the walls might indicate the sideways facing choir seats of a reformed church, the stations of the cross on the side and end walls could make it a Roman Catholic church? Which is it and where?..Based on a similar Poole shot (crucially with a label) ( vtls000592630 ) , it was B-59 ( /photos/66311327@N05/ ) who identified this as the organ in the chapen of the Presentation Convent, in Carrick-on-Suir, County Tipperary. Known also as Nano Nagle Chapel, the chapel and convent buildings now form part of a community resource centre........Photographer: A. H. Poole..Collection: Poole Photographic Studio, Waterford ( http://catalogue.nli.ie/Search/Results?lookfor=A.H.+Poole&type=Author&sort=title&view=grid ) ..Date: c.28 September 1910..NLI Ref: POOLEWP 2230 ( vtls000592631 ) ..You can also view this image, and many thousands of others, on the NLI’s catalogue at catalogue.nli.ie ( http://catalogue.nli.ie )
