YOKOSUKA, Japan (Dec. 19, 2013) Cmdr. Hans De For, commanding officer of the guided-missile destroyer USS Curtis Wilbur (DDG 54) greets the commanding officer and executive officer of the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force guided-missile destroyer JS Kirishima (DDG 174) during an annual Christmas gift exchange. Curtis Wilbur and Kirishima have been sister ships since 1996 when Curtis Wilbur shifted to Yokosuka and have exchanged gifts every year for the past 17 years.
