Coast Guard medevacs sick child

Coast Guard Petty Officer 2nd Class Ryan White from Air Station Miami carries a sick child off of a helicopter from Air Station Borinquen, Puerto Rico. The child was suffering from acute appendicitis and was airlifted by the helicopter crew from San Jose De Ocoa, Dominican Republic. The Coast Guard has saved three people suffering from severe illnesses in the city of San Jose De Ocoa. The mountain city is cut off because of severe mudslides and flooding associated with Tropical Storm Noel. The Tropical Storm slammed into the Dominican Republic killing more than 80 people.
