Quantico, VA, (Sept. 20)--U.S. Coast Guard Reserve members go through combat training at the Marine's training site in Quantico, Va. The Coast Guard Reserve is a military organization that is organized, trained, administered, and supplied under the direction of the Commandant of the United States Coast Guard. The purpose of the Coast Guard Reserve is to provide trained and qualified personnel available for active duty in time of war or national emergency and at such other times as the national security requires.
