Col. Eric M. Mellinger talks about the importance of family readiness officers during his closing remarks of their annual training Feb. 26 at the Ocean Breeze on Camp Foster. The training was over the course of three days where they learned how to better communicate with families and commands, and better understand their roles as family readiness officers for III Marine Expeditionary Force. Mellinger stressed the importance for FROs overseas due to the number of deployments and exercises supported by III MEF.
