Col. Michael J. Flynn, I Marine Expeditionary Force Headquarters Group commanding officer, holds a piece of Marine Corps birthday cake while Sgt. Maj. Following Marine Corps tradition, a piece of cake was given to Mills, the oldest Marine present, and Lance Cpl. Megan Lord, a I MHG warehouse clerk and the youngest Marine present. In addition to the I MHG's Marine Corps Ball slated for Nov. 18, Marines conducted this ceremony as a chance for the unit to celebrate 236 years of Marine Corps history, pride and tradition together.
