Col. Susan Hopkinson, chief, TAMC Center for Nursing Science & Clinical Inquiry, provided remarks during a spiritual readiness luncheon hosted by The Department of Ministry and Pastoral Care at Tripler Army Medical Center (TAMC) Honolulu, HI, May, 7. The chaplains hosted the event for the nurses to promote resiliency and foster a healthy work environment while recognizing nursing teams throughout the medical center for Nurses Week. Other activities included special music by Jung Jin Choi, a professional singer, and a military spouse, a “blessing of the hands,” reciting scriptures, prayers, and a special luncheon. The TAMC Department of Ministry and Pastoral Care offers confidential counseling, religious services, prayer, and pastoral care for hospital staff members, patients, and their families, located at the hospital Oceanside D wing, 3rd Floor.
