Communication trailers are set up for operation during Luñol 2014, an emergency response exercise which provides realistic training in response after a national emergency for Spain’s Unit of Military Emergency here March 27 – April 6, 2014. The exercise also integrated all the military and civilian participants from Spain and abroad. U.S. Army Majs. Daniel Manrique and James Warren, future operations and assessment element planners, respectively, Joint Task Force Civil Support, traveled to the exercise in order to represent JTF-CS and act as observers. The trip was also in support of the enhanced long-term bilateral defense relationship between Spain and the United States. JTF-CS anticipates, plans and prepares for chemical biological, radiological and nuclear Defense Support to Civil Authorities response operations.
