The Royal Australian Historical Society's excursion to Cordeaux Dam in 1927
“October 15. – To Cordeaux Dam, the tablet erected on the site of Hamilton Hume’s home and the old churches at Appin being inspected en route... The excursions proved to be more popular than in any previous year. About two hundred and twenty members were present when Dr. Bradfield and his assistants guided us over the bridge construction works, and one hundred and ten journeyed by motor coaches and private cars to Cordeaux Dam, where Mr. T. B. Cooper, President of the Metropolitan Water Board, had made complete arrangements for our convenience in respect of guides and hot water.”
