Corps' emergency operations general visits Joplin tornado area
Summary
Col. Daniel Patton, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Joplin Recovery Field Office, talks with Maj. Gen. William T. Grisoli, deputy commanding general for civil and emergency operations, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, about the debris removal mission FEMA has tasked to the Corps while David Meyer, quality assurance representative, and Brig. Gen. John R. McMahon, commander of the Corps' Northwestern Division, listen. The RFO has been tasked and is currently completing three missions for FEMA: critical public infrastructure (fire stations and schools), debris removal and temporary housing. Grisoli is responsible for emergency response missions for civil disasters and FEMA support.
