Corps monitors progress on debris removal

Espalin is one of more than 300 Corps employees nationwide to support federal disaster recovery operations here after an EF-5 tornado destroyed almost a third of the city May 22. As of July 26, Corps contractors have removed 1.34 million cubic yards of debris from city streets and more than 1,400 private properties.
