Summary

Courtesy image from Retired United States Marine Corps Staff Sergeant Tim Chambers, also known as “The Saluting Marine”. Chambers provided some insights during a speech aboard the decommissioned Iowa-Class Battleship, USS Wisconsin (BB-64). The event, hosted by Nauticus and the City of Norfolk, is part of Chamber’s Salute Across America Tour, where he travels across the country to honor the importance of sacrifice, courage and patriotism in the military. Chambers has travelled to more than 20 major cities across the nation paying tribute to our military veterans leading up to his annual salute in Washington, DC this upcoming Memorial Day Weekend. During the visit to the Hampton Roads area, he also visited veterans at the Hampton Veterans Affairs Hospital and the Ocean View Chapter of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 3160.
