Extremely intelligent animals, coyotes have been observed using a number of advanced methods to hunt for food. If you see a coyote begging on the side of the road, you should never feed them. Feeding coyotes puts them at greater risk, as many coyotes that learn to beg for food will cross into the road in order to attempt to stop cars, in addition to other potential negative interactions.
