Cpl. Korey R. Newman rappels from a tower at Baengnyeongdo, Republic of Korea, Sept. 6, 2015. Marines conducted Ranger Training to overcome vertical obstacles as part of Korean Marine Exchange Program 15-13, a bilateral training exercise that enhances the ROK and U.S. alliance, promotes stability on the Korean Peninsula, and strengthens ROK and U.S. military capabilities and interoperability. Newman, from Brooklyn, New York, is the 2nd Squad Leader for 2nd Platoon, Echo Company, 2nd Battalion, currently assigned to 4th Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force under the Unit Deployment Program.
