Cpl. Madalynn Baker, left, and Cpl. Brendan J. Jeffords, right, both forward deployed with 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, wish their stateside families a happy holidays from Camp Foster, Okinawa, Japan, December 20, 2017. Baker, a Houston native, wants to tell her family back home that she "loves and misses them and hope they have a good Christmas and New Years and they don’t eat too much home food without me." Jeffords, a native of St. Louis, says "my favorite part of this time of year is how the Marines who stay back and don’t get the chance to see their families will bond together, make their own traditions, spend time together and really partake in the holiday spirit." Baker, an automotive maintenance technician and Jeffords, a refrigeration and air conditioning technician, are both attached to Marine Wing Communications Squadron 18, Marine Air Control Group 18, 1st MAW.
