The foot joint socket ferrule contains two key rod posts, and to prevent it moving out of position it is secured with a nickel silver arm soldered between the posts and then screwed to the body about 2 cm. down the tube.

Mark Additional: Mark on head. Body and foot marked: (crown) / H. F. MEYER / HANNOVER. Crowns initialed with H.F.M.
Condition: Crack in barrel.
