DCM ledger: "This flute has been altogether rebuilt as to key mechanism. Evidently was originally very like [DCM 653], with rods on both outer and inner side of body. D# low, thumb key, and two trill-key holes have been moved. Key-cups for G# and A keys are the only original ones left. Briccialdi thumb keys are new.... Cap is new."
