DCM 1270: Button & Co. Flute in C

According to Langwill, Button & Co. were musical instrument dealers.

Medium: Boxwood, silver keys, ivory ferrules and cork-setting mechanism.; 60.5 cm.
Key Holes System: 4 keys, pewter plug, the original F key has been replaced with a later nickel silver post and rod key, and very neatly done.
Mark Maximum: BUTTON & CO / LONDON / PATENT // 6 / BUTTON & CO / LONDON
Mark Additional: Mark on head and barrel. Mark on upper, lower, and boot: BUTTON & CO / LONDON
Condition: Foot joint bottom ferrule appears to be a replacement.
Provenance: William Hayes, London, 11 Sept. 1935.
