Summary

Embossed keys, ferrules, and embouchure plate edge. This flute was made for the Spanish flutist Manuel Berenguer (see photo 34 in Haynes group, Miller Photograph Collection), first flute of the Chicago Opera and flute soloist for the soprano, Galli-Curci (see photo 129 in A-Z group, Miller Photograph Collection). According to Leonardo de Lorenzo, Mme Galli-Curci presented Berenguer with a gold flute in appreciation of his work.
