Summary
John Singleton Copley's painting The Death of Major Peirson arrived in Jersey for exhibition for the first time in 2012 on loan from the Tate. It was hoisted into the Jersey Museum on 3 April 2012. A window and part of a wall had to be removed to enable access to the gallery for the crated painting.
