PEARL HARBOR (Dec. 06, 2013) Delton Walling, a survivor of the Dec. 7, 1941 attack on Pearl Harbor, and Joan Bohl observe the remains of USS Utah (AG 16) during a sunset service at the USS Utah Memorial at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam. During the time of the attack, Walling was a petty officer and signalman attached to the battleship USS Pennsylvania (BB 38), then dry-docked in port, and was assigned to the communications force of Adm.
