Deputy Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security tours Deepwater Horizon Response Operations

JEFFERSON PARISH, La. - U.S. Department of Homeland Security Deputy Secretary Jane Holl Lute discusses operations and response efforts taking place in Barataria Bay with Coast Guard Cmdr. Randall S. Ogrydziak, commander of the forward operating base for the Deepwater Horizon Response Incident Command Post in Grand Isle June 18, 2010. Lute and Coast Guard Adm. Thad W. Allen boarded the Coast Guard Cutter Sturgeon to tour the bay and were briefed on several response plans and efforts designed to minimize further oil impact on the shores and marshes within the bay.
