DETROIT (March 14, 2018) Gas Turbine Systems Technician (Electrical) 1st Class Eric Boyle, a Navy Recruiter assigned to Navy Recruiting District (NRD) Michigan, helps to a student with their remote operated vehicle during the 2018 Regional Search Competition at Western International High School in Detroit. Navy Recruiting Command (NRC) Midwest Region City Outreach Program in cooperation with the (NRD) Michigan hosted the Regional SeaPerch Underwater Robotics Challenge qualifier. SeaPerch is an underwater robotics program and one of the science, technology, engineering and math programs sponsors by the Office of Naval Research which allows students to build and operate an underwater remotely operated vehicle.
