GUIDE TO ROSE CULTURE Dingee Superior Hyacinths INDOOR CULTURE. Plant in pots or boxes, using ordinary garden soil, any time from September to February. Allow a small portion of the bulb to be exposed above the soil. Water thoroughly and put away in a dark, cool situation until signs of growth commence, then bring -â , into the light and heat. For holiday blooming, pot early in September, and for a succession i$ \ of bloom, plant at intervals of about two 'WJ&tf min'^i weeks. To grow in water, place the bulbs in -SP^j-1 glasses and fill with clean water; leave them jU .**â in a dark, cool cellar until the glass is well ;4j,,^ filled with roots, then bring to the light. jfc«£g -. Set out any time from Sep- Wm j£*f tember until severe freezing weather. While .*.ri->. \f, â '**%! not required, it is better to give winter pro- . ^ tection. ft 4 &U* !i D0 N0T BUY SECOND-SIZE, INFE- i â . <f W '-\tm RIOR BULBS. DINGEE HYACINTHS are s grown by our special growers in Holland, who have been growing them for us for the past twenty years, and they are the best to be had at any price; each bulb guaranteed to grow and bloom. It takes three years to mature a Hyacinth, and the reason why some dealers can offer bulbs at such ridiculously low prices is that they buy up a lot of two-year-old bulbs the growers, for one reason or other, do not care to carry along to maturity. These can, of course, be sold in this country at much lower prices than honest, properly matured and cured bulbs, such as ours. The result is keen disappointment, and the whole bulb business gets a bad name. Take our word for it,âa two-year-old Hyacinth bulb will not give satisfaction, and that is what you will get if you buy cheap bulbs. Our guaranteed bulbs will please in every particular. Large exhibition-size bulbs, 20 cts. each, $2 per doz., $15 per 100, postage or express prepaid
