Arthur Henri Poole - Dr. R. Miller and Archbishop of Dublin.
Summary
A fine Poole shot of two Reverend gentlemen from the Poole Collection to end the week...With thanks to all for their contributions below, it is understood that the taller man on the left is John Gregg (1873-1961; wikipedia) ( John_Gregg_(archbishop_of_Armagh) ) who was then Archbishop of Dublin. And the man on the right with the crozier is Robert Miller (1866-1931; wikipedia) ( Robert_Miller_(bishop) ) who was then Bishop of Cashel and Waterford. There's a strong suggestion that the photo was taken close to Waterford's Bishops Palace......Photographer: A.H. Poole. .Collection:Poole Photographic Studio, Waterford ( http://catalogue.nli.ie/Collection/vtls000031416 ) ..Date: Circa 22 June 1925..NLI Ref: POOLEWP 3305 ( vtls000593895 ) . .You can also view this image, and many thousands of others, on the NLI’s catalogue at catalogue.nli.ie ( http://catalogue.nli.ie )
