Summary
Historiated initial 'E'(dward) of Edward IV enthroned, holding an orb and sceptre, with religious and lay men to his right and left, respectively, at the beginning of the statues issued during his reign.
The Gill/Gyll arms are in the lower border. Image taken from f. 274 of Nova Statuta (index Statutes of England, Statuta Angliae), 1 Edward III to 3 Henry VII (ff. 50-350v), preceded by an alphabetical list of contents (ff. 1-49). Written in French.
