Text Appearing Before Image:
n two ribbons of inlaid brown,and a background of fine pointille work. The morocco fly-leaves are the same colour as the cover, with a simple panelof gold lines. 30 WINE, WOMEN, AND SONG. Translated, with anEssay, by J. A. Symonds. 1884. Bound in GreenLevant Morocco, with Doublures and Silk Flies. The cover (see illustration No. 27) is decorated with acentre panel, in the middle of which are four heart-shapesformed by interlaced inlaid strapwork, inside of whichinlaid roses and leaves are introduced. Surrounding thisand covering the inner panel are vine leaves and grapesinlaid, with a background of solid pointille work, the outerborder being a series of lozenges connected by green strap-work with a finely powdered background. The doublures have a panel of brown morocco, with aborder of inlaid leaves and gold flowers, all of which springfrom an eccentric design of strapwork inlaid in black, andin the centre zpoudrd of gold dots. Surrounding the panelis a border of interlaced strapwork.
