Fire coordinate exercise readies ‘Vanguard’ company commanders
Summary
Pvt. Robert Jefferson and Pfc. Matthew Bowling, with Company A, 3rd Battalion, 7th Infantry Regiment, 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, fire a 60 mm mortar during a 4th IBCT fire coordination exercise at Fort Stewart, Ga., April 30. Company commanders were tested on their ability to coordinate indirect fire and aviation assets during the training.
