Summary

Firefighters from the 23d Civil Engineer Squadron (CES), prepare to shoot water out of a hose, Jan. 24, 2018, at Moody Air Force Base, Ga. Firefighters from the 23d CES conducted A-10C Thunderbolt II extraction training to practice extinguishing an aircraft fire and quickly rescuing a pilot from an A-10. The 23d CES holds the extraction training twice annually and are evaluated on the amount of time it takes them to rescue a pilot from the cockpit. (U.S. Air Force photo by Airman Eugene Oliver)
