Fireman Mirayah Fino with Coast Guard Station Tillamook Bay stands watch at the station in Garabaldi, Ore., June 4, 2013. Station Tillamook Bay is one of only 20 Surf Stations in the U.S. Coast Guard. The bar at the entrance of the bay is one of the most treacherous bars on the Oregon coast. The station was established in 1908, with Surfman Robert Farley as the station keeper. After relocating the original station house to Garibaldi, the present moorings and the station facility were completed June 4, 1982.
