Fireweed (14991178865)
Summary
Chamerion angustifolium. Family: Onagraceae (commonly known as the evening primrose or willowherb family). Occurs on open slopes, streambanks, avalanche chutes, and open forest, from valleys to subalpine zones. Its seeds are readily wind dispersed and quickly colonize forest that has recently burned. Plants often persist until the new tree canopy closes- a process that may take centuries in some subalpine zones.
