John M. Cushing, at 1AD Headquarters Parade Field, Fort Bliss, Texas, May 1, 2019.
As part of the retreat ceremony, Cushing was awarded the Legion of Merit for his duties as the 1st Armored Division Chief of Staff, a decoration which is given for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding services and achievements.
